In the 1940s the 6-pack of beer became the universal carry size for takeaway beers. The reason? Six beers was thought to be the ideal weight for the average housewife to carry home (to her doting husband).
The 8 Pack:
Because long ago it was decided that a woman could only carry six beers. Boy, were they wrong.
It’s time to disrupt the patriarchy inherent in beer, even the humble 6-pack packaging. We’ll create The 8 Pack, which can still perfectly fit 24 beers in a slab (3 by 8), and isn’t fundamentally built on an outdated theory about the delicacy and strength of women.
On March 8th, International Women’s Day we’ll launch the 8 Pack to the masses with a comprehensive campaign that seeks to educate people on why the 8 Pack exists and challenging every other alcohol company in the world to follow Corona’s progressive lead.
